Current Campaign: Autumn 2025 COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

Autumn/Winter 25” COVID-19 vaccination programme

During the Autumn/Winter 25 COVID-19 programme vaccination is to be offered FREE to the following eligible individuals aged 18 years and over:

• All adults aged 75 years and over on 31 March 2026

• All residents of a care home for older adults registered with RQIA

• Individuals aged 18 years and over who are immunosuppressed (as defined in the ‘immunosuppression’ sections of table 3 in the COVID19 chapter of the Green Book)

Flu Campaign will run again in AUTUMN 2025.

Community pharmacies will support the Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme by offering the influenza vaccine FREE to those aged 18 years and over in the following groups:

• those aged 65 years and over (including those aged 65 by 31 March 2026) • those aged 18 years to 64 years in a clinical at-risk group (as defined in Table 19.4 (Flu) of the Green Book)

• residents and staff in RQIA registered care homes

• immunosuppressed (as defined in Table 19.4 (Flu) of the Green Book) and close contacts of immunocompromised individuals

• carers

• pregnant women

• All Health & Social Care Workers (HSCWs)*

• High-risk poultry and avian animal health workers HSS(MD) 43/2024

*Includes all staff who are employed directly by HSC organisations and those employed as and by independent contractors such as general practitioners (GPs), dentists, pharmacists and ophthalmic practitioners. This includes non-clinical ancillary staff who may have social contact with patients but are not directly involved in patient care.
