Category: Medical Tests

Introducing our innovative and user-friendly at-home Vitamin D Test Kit, designed to provide a fast and precise reading of your vitamin D levels in the blood. The importance of understanding your vitamin D levels cannot be overstated, as low levels have been associated with a wide range of physical conditions, including; osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pregnancy complications, autoimmune diseases, strokes, cancers, Alzheimer’s and obesity, among others.

Being aware of your vitamin D levels can help you take proactive measures to remedy the situation. There are various food sources of vitamin D, including salmon, tuna, egg yolks and beef liver. Supplements can also be beneficial in increasing vitamin D levels.

Low vitamin D levels can also encourage you to spend more time outdoors, as sunlight exposure is a natural and effective way to boost vitamin D levels in the body. By making a conscious effort to get more sunlight, you can improve your vitamin D levels and enjoy the benefits of the “sunshine vitamin” on your nervous, immune and musculoskeletal systems.

Instructions

To ensure accurate and reliable results from your Vitamin D Test Kit, please follow these instructions carefully:

  1. Bring the pouch to room temperature before opening it. Once opened, remove the test cassette and place it on a clean and level surface. For best results, perform the test within one hour of opening the foil pouch.
  2. Carefully remove the cap of the lancet and dispose of it safely.
  3. Clean the fingertip of your middle or ring finger with the provided alcohol pad and allow it to air dry.
  4. Hold the lancet on the side from where the cap was extracted and press it against your fingertip. The tip will retract automatically and safely after use. Massage your hand towards the finger to be punctured to obtain a blood drop.
  5. Keep your hand down and massage the end that was pricked to obtain a blood drop.
  6. Without squeezing the capillary dropper bulb, place it in contact with the blood droplet. The blood will migrate into the capillary dropper through capillarity to the line indicated on the dropper. If necessary, massage your finger again to obtain more blood but avoid air bubbles.
  7. Release the blood collected into the specimen well (S) of the cassette by squeezing the dropper bulb.
  8. Wait for the blood to be totally dispensed in the well. Unscrew the cap of the buffer bottle and add two drops of buffer into the buffer well (B) of the cassette. Start a timer.
  9. Wait for the coloured line/lines to appear. Read the results after 10 minutes. To get the Vitamin D level in your blood, compare the T line intensity with the “Vitamin D colour card” provided with the kit. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.

Following these instructions carefully will ensure that you obtain accurate and reliable results from your Vitamin D Test Kit. Please note that the results are for informational purposes only and you should always consult with your healthcare provider, to interpret the results and receive appropriate medical advice. With our easy-to-use test kit, you can take a proactive approach to monitoring your Vitamin D levels and taking steps to improve your overall health and wellbeing.
